A quick recap on our family vacation, first we spent a week in Charleston, South Carolina. We stayed downtown Charleston in the French Quarter, a part of town full of early American history. We faught through the brutal temps and humidity to sight see, and sights we did see. From an area rumered to have instigated the Civil War to a 1500 year old oak tree, a vibrant market street, and cobblestone roads where even our nations first president once walked.
From there we headed up north to Virginia Beach to catch the finale of the ECSC Surf Championship presented by Vans. Vans build an awesome vert ramp and park course for pro skaters and bikers to come in to compete and hold demos. Vendors of the action sports industry lined the beach with activities for the crowds of people, and the festivities were going strong even with our late arrival.
All in all it was great to escape the every day hustle and bustle and get some quality time with my family. We also were able to continue to spread the brand in cities we had not yet been, and of course visiting a new place is always interesting in itself. Every family vacation always leaves us waiting for the next but we'll be back on the road in work mode before long, so if you see us in your town give us a shout!
